Q: How does MobiPro Office work?
A: MobiPro Office is installed on any server within the enterprise and is configured to
pick up e-mails, schedules, and contacts (directly or from individual folders) by polling the local
server at frequent intervals. Whenever there is a new or scheduled e-mail, or query for schedules or
contacts, it is retrieved from the server, converted into an SMS message and queued for delivery.
MobiPro Office sends the queued messages, to the appropriate recipient’s mobile device. It
also sends an acknowledgement upon successful transmission of the message. In case of any error, a
notice is returned to the user.

Q: What are the operating platforms that MobiPro Office supports?
A: MobiPro Office works on MS Windows 2000 server and MS Windows NT 4.0 server.

Q: Can MobiPro Office use SMS services from any provider?
A: Yes. MobiPro Office is operator agnostic as long as SMS services are supported on the
GSM network.

Q: What is the size of the SMS message? How are messages and
attachments received?
A: The size of SMS messages is limited to 160 characters as per the SMS standard. When
e-mails are sent, MobiPro Office extracts the relevant information from the text or HTML message and
dispatches it to the relevant mobile device as an SMS messages. Details captured include the
sender’s name and e-mail address, and the subject and body of the message.
In the case of attachments received as e-mail, the name, type and size of the attachment is
retrieved and sent as part of the SMS message.

A: Yes, it supports distribution lists.. It allows multiple mobile numbers to be defined
as members of a single or multiple distribution lists.

Q: How secure is my corporate information when it goes out of my
firewall? What are the security features of MobiPro Office?
A: Intruders cannot enter into the corporate network via the MobiPro Office server because
no continuous connection exists between the client and server. Eavesdroppers cannot intercept
communications between server and cell phone due to the security features of the GSM service that
MobiPro Office uses. MobiPro Office delivers e-mail and corporate information to authorized
users/cell phones only.
