February 14, 2002 -- City-based wireless application developer WDC Solutions launched a new application– MobiPro SDK (software development kit) – that allows wireless functionality between wired environments and mobile hand-held devices. The application provides data transmission over a range of wireless technologies, including SMS, WAP and synchronization. It also works over 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks. The synchronization functionality is compatible with wireless LAN (802.11b) and Bluetooth. According to company CEO Manju S. Murthy, “MobiPro SDK offers the plumbing required to connect applications residing on corporate servers in a wired environment and mobile devices. We are providing the tools that power the mobile access revolution,” he said. “The value proposition here is that we provide the data transfer network architecture.” MobiPro SDK is the third product from WDC.
