Scouts for solution providers and equipment manufacturers Computer Reseller News, Bangalore March 1, 2002 -- In its bid to achieve target of $1million this fiscal, Bangalore-based software company, WDC Solutions is taking the channel route. The company is looking for distributors, solution providers, service providers and equipment manufacturers both in India and abroad. WDC Solutions specializes in wireless middle-ware application space and wireless technologies such as wireless LAN (802.11b), Bluetooth, GSM, GPRS, EDGE and UMTS. Manju Murthy, CEO of WDC, said, "We are looking for software distributors and resellers in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and
Pune." WDC develops and license generic wireless application stack and works with clients to provide application level integration services for wireless devices. The company launched its first batch of MobiPro suite of software development kit recently and plans to enter into tie-ups with world leaders in this space. "We have queries from the US, Europe and Asia Pacific," Murthy said. Presently, MobiPro caters to GSM and GPRS applications. But it also has solutions for CDMA and iMODE. "Companies from Korea and Japan are sending in queries for CDMA and iMODE applications and we are in talks to roll out 3G applications," he added. There are 12 installations of MobiPro SDK available and companies like EximSoft Technologies and InfoDisha have build applications around it. WDC is also looking for tie-ups with solution providers in India in this space. It has a partnership with
EximSoft and InfoDisha. It has tied-up with Nokia for co-developing the mobile infrastructure. The company is in discussions with equipment manufacturers like Samsung and Ericsson, according to
Murthy. Set up a year-and-a-half ago, with a funding of Rs 1 crore, it is in talks with venture capitalists for more funds. |
