Cyber India Online - ciol.com, Bangalore February 13, 2002 -- Wireless Digital Communications has unveiled its MobiPro Software Developer Kit that allows developers to add wireless functionality to their applications. MobiPro, the first of the Suite of products to be rolled out, aims to establish connection between mobile devices and a server. Wireless Digital Communications (WDC) has rolled out its MobiPro Software Developer Kit (SDK) allowing developers to add wireless functionality to their applications. This is the first of the Suite of products to be rolled out in progressive periods on MobiPro Suite. The family of products is rolled out in an aim to establish connection between mobile devices and a server. It is developed on the `push’ and `pull’ technology sending and retrieving data. WDC’s CEO, Manju S Murthy said, "The MobiPro SDK increases revenues by offering mobile module for their products, add new business line to their product and service offering, scalable and connects with SMS, WAP, MMS and Synchronisation are some of the value to the customers." There are 12 installations of MobiPro SDK in Bangalore and companies like EximSoft Technologies and InfoDisha have already build their application on the product. The company expects a couple of hundreds of installation by the end of next fiscal tuning in revenue of one million dollar. The company started, 18 months back, with a crore as funding from its two founder members, Murthy and Arun Acharya and is now in talks with Venture Capitalists to pour in more funds. Nokia, a partner in its mobile infrastructure development, is also not ruled out in investing in the firm. |
