Economic Times, Bangalore & Chennai June 22, 2001 -- Bangalore-based WDC Solutions said its focus on wireless middleware and application stacks is what makes it different from competition. Most of the software firms in the wireless space are focusing on developing protocol stacks, making it a crowded space, while there is a big demand for middleware which is being neglected, said Manju S Murthy, CEO, WDC Solutions. Mr. Murthy said that as work done by most software firms revolve around the data link layer, the business opportunity of participating in the middleware development is immense, which WDC aims to capitalize at the Bluetooth Congress 2001, held early this month at Monaco, WDC’s solutions got encouraging response. Showcased at this show was WDC’s SyncExpress, a ready-to-ship wireless middleware layer for one step synchronization of content between multiple information sources including personal digital assistants, laptops, cell phone and similar other mobile devices. The software implements the SyncML specifications to provide one-step wireless synchronization of data and makes management of information of mobile devices seamless. |
